Lifeplus

This is the first in a series of illustrations that I was comissioned to create for Lifeplus schools. These linocut repeat patterns will be used to celebrate milestone anniversaries, through the creation of unique brand assets.

Lifeplus schools needed a way to publicly commemorate every time they reach a significant anniversary, and wanted to create a new anniversary mark/system that would be applied to both existing and new school materials (digital, physical, spatial) during the relevant 12 month period. The concept was to celebrate the unique locations of each school through the use of a pattern of native leaves, flowers and fruit

I was asked to create a linocut print with layered elements, which could be used as a repeat pattern. One of the main uses was going to be as a fill background for the 'milestone number' being celebrated in each anniversary year.
